Deleting your account

Two ways to do it, and both remove everything. Nothing is kept back, and you don't have to give a reason.

01

From inside the app

The fastest way, if you still have PrendzBook installed.

  • Open the app and go to the You tab.
  • Tap Account.
  • Tap Delete everything, and confirm.

Consider exporting first — You → Export offers CSV and vCard, and once the account is gone the book cannot be recovered.

02

By email, without the app

If you have already removed the app, or cannot sign in, send a message to prendzbook@gmail.com with the subject Delete my account, from the email address the account uses.

We will confirm it is you before deleting anything — usually by replying to that address and asking you to confirm once. Expect the account to be gone within seven days, and a message from us when it is done.

03

What gets deleted

  • Your account and sign-in details.
  • Your profile and your share token, so any QR code of yours stops working.
  • Everyone in your book, with their notes, tags, affiliations and dates — the whole book.

It is removed from the live database straight away. Copies can persist in our hosting provider’s routine backups until those are overwritten on its normal cycle; we do not restore deleted accounts from them.

04

What is not affected

If a friend added you to their book by scanning your code, their entry about you is part of their book and stays with them. Deleting your account unlinks it, so it stops receiving any update from you and becomes an ordinary entry they typed themselves. If you would like them to remove it, ask them — or write to us and we will help you reach them.

05

This cannot be undone

There is no grace period and no restore. That is deliberate: an account that lingers after you asked for it to be gone is not deleted. Export anything you want to keep first.
